P.S. 106, The Parkchester School
Inspired by indigenous people of New York City and State, the historic art and architecture at Park Avenue Armory, and music, four classes at P.S. 106 each were tasked with writing and recording original songs embracing ideas and ideals embodied in New York’s first inhabitants.
‘Zoom To Bloom’
Class 317 wrote a song called ‘Zoom to Bloom’ inspired by cunningness, dexterity, and strategy.
‘Sound of Respect.’
Class 321 sends up their kinder sentiments in this latin inspired song that will take you somewhere far away.
‘Don’t Mess With Me Cause I’m Dirty.’
The title says it all. This is Class 325’s homage to getting your hands dirty.
‘Strong and Bravery’
Be brave and be strong is the mantra of Class 315’s funk inspired jam.
